Hye Young is an MD student at Yale School of Medicine. She graduated from UC San Diego with a BA in Global Health and BS in Biochemistry/Cell biology and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with an MPH in Social Behavioral Sciences. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she engaged in activities and organizations promoting social justice education and advocacy for Asian American and migrant communities. She is interested in studying and addressing the roots of health disparities, particularly in the context of the immigration and criminal-legal systems.
