Sun Cotter | UC Global Health Institute
Sun Yu Cotter is the Deputy Director of the University of California Global Health Institute that spans 10 University of California campuses. Sun is a daughter to Korean immigrants and a first-generation college graduate. She is a multi-lingual global health professional and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan, she worked solely in the local language. Sun is a racial justice advocate certified in mediation and conflict resolution. Her research experience includes maternal and child health, family planning, abortion, reproductive health, childhood mortality and morbidities. Sun is passionate about cultivating the next generation of diverse public health leaders working locally and globally.
